Programme Officer
The position requires an in-person presence in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine, with a frequent travel to ForumCiv Eastern Europe Regional Office in Vilnius and acting as ForumCiv’s primary point of contact in Ukraine. Minimum 16-month contract, with a possibility of a permanent work position.
ForumCiv is the largest civil society platform in Sweden. Our members are Swedish organizations. We have offices in six different countries, and we support civil society in over 70 countries.
About the position
Programme Officer will be responsible for the oversight of the implementation of a joint ForumCiv’s and its partner’s programme, focused on integrating internally displaced people (IDPs), now residing in Kryvyi Rih, into the local labour market, following a methodology designed into the programme. Additionally, Programme Officer will be involved in design and implementation of trainings, facilitation of community meetings and advocacy activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programme Management: Oversee programme implementation in Kryvyi Rih, recruit participants, engage stakeholders, organize training sessions, and facilitate meetings with local communities, authorities, and businesses.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with local community members, authorities, and businesses.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Conduct monitoring and evaluation activities, and provide regular updates to the Programme Manager in Vilnius and programme partners.
- Administrative Oversight: Manage documentation and reporting requirements for ForumCiv and donors.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop community mobilization skills, and support Vilnius-based regional team in carrying its mission to contribute to the democratic future of Ukraine, based on a strong local civil society and empowered individuals. There is a possibility to grow into a permanent position at ForumCiv.
This is a fixed-term employment starting as soon as possible. It is expected to be a full-time position, however part-time possibility can be discussed with the selected candidates.
Salary range: 1400-1600 EUR (before tax) for a full-time position, depending on the selected candidate’s experience.
Qualifications
To apply, the candidate must:
- Have at least 1-year experience in project administration, ideally in civil society organisation/non-profit sector
- Have experience in mobilizing communities for common action
- Be fluent in spoken and written English and Ukranian
- Be in the last year of studies or have a relevant academic degree in Development Studies, International Relations, Social Science, Political Science, Human
- Rights or equivalent qualifications obtained in another way
Ideally, a successful candidate will also (desirable qualifications):
- Originate from or has lived long-term in Kryvyi Rih, willing to stay in Kryvyi Rih during the implementation of the programme
- Have an interest in working in non-profit sector on developing civil society
