Call for Proposals: Belarus Programme
This particular call aims to support initiatives that strengthen networking and synchronization among equal rights activists, seek to enhance leadership within the LGBTQI+ community in Belarus, and work on promoting equal rights in communities on the ground.
Grant Categories:
Networking/Synchronization Grants (up to €25,000): These grants support initiatives fostering collaboration, coordination, and strategic planning among equal rights activists and organizations. The goal is to enhance collective advocacy, resource-sharing, and knowledge exchange within Belarusian civil society.
LGBTQI+ Leadership Grants (up to €20,000): These grants aim to encourage and empower new leaders within the LGBTQI+ movement. Funding will support capacity-building activities, leadership training, and initiatives that strengthen advocacy for LGBTQI+ rights.
Grants for Community Support (up to €10,000): These grants aim to assist local communities to run their gender equality promotion activities, including community-based education initiatives. Goal of these grants is to engage new activists and broaden the outreach of communities, increasing rights’ awareness and the knowledge about rights’ protection.
Who Can Apply?
This call is open to Belarusian civil society actors, grassroots initiatives, and activist groups working to promote equal rights in Belarus. Collaborative projects and strategic partnerships are strongly encouraged.
For how long?
Initiatives should last up to 12 months.
Application Process:
Register for a Pitching session: Interested applicants must first register to present their ideas. Registration will be open from March 25 to April 25. Applicants will be able to choose a meeting slot with ForumCiv team on Google appointment platform from April 7 until April 25. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted via Signal for further instructions.
At the Pitching session: The online meeting will last up to 20 minutes, and include a freestyle presentation of the project idea, and a Q&A. During the call, we will ask you to briefly present your background, experience, and provide a short summary of your project idea. Full Application Submission: Withing two weeks after pitching session, all candidates will receive a decision of whether they have been selected to apply for the programme. The selected applicants will be invited to submit a full application form.
