Full-time job position: Project Officer (Minimum 6 months, with a possibility of a permanent work position)

The position is located at ForumCiv Eastern Europe Regional Office Vilnius and reports to the Programme Manager.

ForumCiv is the largest civil society platform in Sweden. Our members are Swedish organizations. We have offices in six different countries, and we support civil society in over 70 countries.

About the position

Project Officer will work alongside the projects’ team, managing application process for the granting programme. Additionally, Project Officer will be involved in design and implementation of trainings, conferences and advocacy activities.  

Specifically: 

  • Manage application process for the granting programme, including providing entry information to applicants, initial screening of received applications for eligibility, archiving of applications.
  • Support project team with ongoing and completed projects as needed with communication, assessments, and archiving.
    This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop event and project management skills, and support Vilnius-based regional team in carrying its mission of equality and justice in Eastern Partnership countries. There is a possibility to grow into a permanent position at ForumCiv.

This is a fixed-term employment starting as soon as possible. It is expected to be a full-time position, however part-time possibility can be discussed with the selected candidates.

Net salary range: 1000-1200 EUR (after tax) for a full-time position, depending on the selected candidate’s experience.

Qualifications

To apply, the candidate must:

  • Have at least 1-year experience in project administration, ideally in civil society organisation/non-profit sector 
  • Be fluent in spoken and written English 
  • Be able to express themselves confidently in Russian
  • Be in the last year of studies or have a relevant academic degree in Development Studies, International Relations, Social Science, Political Science,
  • Human Rights or equivalent qualifications obtained in another way

Ideally, a successful candidate will also have (desirable qualifications):

  • Have an interest in working in non-profit sector, on developing civil society
  • A contextual knowledge of socio-political and economical areas in Eastern Europe and/or Central Asia
  • Experience of working or volunteering in a civil society organisation
  • Experience in organising events
  • Fluency in any regionally relevant language, such as Belarusian, Ukrainian, Georgian, Armenian, Azerbaijani, Kazakh, etc.
  • We appreciate a problem-solver attitude, personal integrity and good judgment, be able to work alone and in a team environment, multicultural awareness, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
