Small grants for collaborative projects involving new initiatives and experienced Belarusian civil society organizations

To implement projects focusing on grassroots engagement, rights advocacy, civic response to the actions and decisions of duty bearers, and increased citizen participation in the local and regional decision-making, as well as collaborative development of policy proposals, future visions of democratic Belarus, awareness raising of actions and decisions of duty bearers, advocacy campaigns towards duty-bearers.

Funding priorities

  1. Activities in the country, on the ground;
  2. Coalition of civic groups working with regional and local communities;
  3. Work on specific issues related to youth, inclusion, gender equality.

Who is the programme for?

Coalitions of new and existing Belarusian initiatives and organizations. At least one applicant needs to have a formal registration as a legal entity. An application from only one organization will be rejected.

How much?

Grants up to 20,000 euros.

For how long?

For 3 months of work, ending no later than 30th of November, 2024.

When to apply?

The applications are accepted on a rolling basis, until July 31st, 2024.

We will review your application and contact you through the number provided in the Signal. If the application passes the initial screening according to the criteria given in the columns "Funding priorities?" and "Who is this programme for?", we will invite you for an interview.

Applications will be processed within 5 weeks of submission.

Up to 10 projects of up to €20,000 will be supported at this stage. If the estimates of the approved projects are less than €20,000, it is possible to support more initiatives.
