How we work with capacity development

We define capacity development as the process through which individuals, organizations, institutions and other stakeholders obtain, increase and maintain their capabilities to engage in change. The capacity development process is anchored in our Theory of Change.

ForumCiv's methods for capacity development are the Learning Management Cycle and the Right(s) Way Forward. These two methods integrate the Rights-Based Approach, the Do No Harm framework, Gender Equality and Equity, Environment and Climate Justice, and Conflict sensitivity and transformation.
